Please be aware that we cannot offer any vet care outside of our clinic times.

Clinic day

Clinic is open on the second Sunday of each month at Our Place Society unless otherwise noted.

We also have a mobile component to Vets for Pets and we are able to travel to select locations in order to offer our services by REQUEST ONLY. Please email us if you know of a location that could benefit from our mobile services. This service is only available to community housing units or support groups. We do not travel to individual homes.

What to expect

  • Registration begins at 9 AM in the courtyard of Our Place Society - you must be present for registration but your pet does not need to be there at this time.

  • The clinic opens at 10AM and closes at 11:45AM

  • Registration does not guarantee that your pet will be seen - we try and see as many pets as we can but the number of pets we can see depends on how many veterinarians we have volunteering that day

  • Pets are seen on a “first come, first served” basis

  • You will need to wait in the Our Place courtyard or nearby until we can see your pet (we apologize in advance for any longer than usual wait times)

  • When we are able to see you and your pet, we will call out your pet’s name. If you do not respond, we will move on to the next pet in line

  • Cats are seen in the shipping/receiving room - unfortunately, at this time, cat owners are not allowed in this room due to the small space

  • Dogs are seen in the courtyard

  • Dress for the weather as most of the clinic occurs outdoors and you will likely need to wait up to 2 hours to be seen

Please know that we are doing our best to see all pets in a timely manner. Our volunteers are working as best they can but wait times will depend on how many veterinarians we have working with us that day. It takes a team to ensure the wellbeing of your pets but each pet must be seen by a veterinarian before we can give any form of treatment.
